An evening at El Corral de la Morería with Spanish art and gastronomy

The Indian Leaders Programme made space in its schedule to show the participants more social and cultural aspects of Spain

The Indian Leaders Programme also aims to give an insight into some of Spain’s cultural and recreational aspects. The MPs attended an informal dinner where they sampled some of Spain’s finest gastronomy and enjoyed a flamenco show. El Corral de la Morería, inaugurated in 1956, is one of Madrid’s most popular flamenco venues. The show is a particularly emotional experience for the Indian delegation as gypsy culture has its roots in Rajasthan; the art has evolved but it maintains a strong connection with the traditional music of the Indian region.
