The Indian delegation continued its session in Valladolid with a visit to Palacio de Santa Cruz, where they were welcomed by José María Marbán, Vice-Chancellor of International Relations at Universidad de Valladolid, one of the world’s oldest universities. Marbán later took part in a discussion at the University’s Faculty of Education.
Guillermo Rodríguez, Managing Director of Casa de la India, guided the visitors through the Renaissance building, which was recently refurbished. The participants visited the patio, where they were able to observe the names of figures that have been made Honorary Doctors by Universidad de Valladolid.
The Leaders also visited the historical library at Palacio de Santa Cruz, a spacious room which houses all the works of the university library prior to 1835, an outstanding collection of over 45,000 books.
